After many singles, EPs and remixes the Berlin club phenomenon Thomas Lizzara releases his debut album ‘Dopamin Puzzle’ on Ostfunk Records. It’s like a gathering of sweeping club tunes and profundly emotional tracks that where produced together with singer Steven Coulter amongst others. They match like puzzle pieces that fall into place like an accoustic image of nightlife joy. Honestly and electrifying.

Thomas Lizzara spreads happiness by cross-genres and unlimitated productions that switch between TechHouse, smooth ‘n groovy Techno and funky floating Minimal. His deep passion for electronic music and the club life becomes the central theme of this album. Tracks like ‘Wunder’ and ‘Give Ahead’ reflect selective moments of excessive club nights but in the typical charming Lizzara-Style.

Furthermore he seeks and finds inspiration in early Funk and Soul productions. He developes rolling and drifty drum arrangements and juggles with unobtrusive filters and Jazz nuances.

A very own drive and a unique sound spectrum goes along with Thomas Lizzaras productions and advance the album to a total work of art – full of surprises and detail affection. His surrender to sample searching, sound design and sound aesthetics gives ‘Dopamin Puzzle’ its authentic charackter

Dashing and twinkle-toed in one the music guides through the aural world of the Berlin shooting star and fascinates with positive vibes and esprit. It’s a place where Klezmer elements and Balkan attitudes come together as a matter of course and leave enough space for vocal snippets and fresh percussions.

nach einer kreativen pause im jahr 2011 startet das dj meeting, der älteste branchentreff in deutschland, 2012 mit neuen ideen durch. dabei erfährt das thema musikproduktion ganz besondere aufmersamkeit.

PRAXXIZ wird sich gleich mit zwei eigenen workshops präsentieren:

1. ‘from bedroom to mainfloor’ – traumjob dj, wie werde ich erfolgreich in 5 schritten

2. ‘social mania & the web-trap’ – wir entlarfen den ‘mythos hype’, gehen gezielt auf die verschiedenen online-plattformen und ihre nutzung, den richtigen umgang mit der presse etc. ein.

the original track was already quite something in itself. secret cinema’s reinterpretation of sls’ ‘broken squares’ takes us well and truly down the funky techno road, deftly retaining the glitchy flavour of the original, whilst adding a touch of that old school feeling and successfully delivering a peaktime bomb thats equally at home in either a techno or a techhouse set! witness some serious progression, a wickedly wobbling bass and some deliciously broken beats, making this huge track fun and accessible for dancers and dj’s alike.

leave your expectations at the door. mikael nordgren, aka tiger stripes, well known in techno’s ahead of the curve circles for his massive slamming tunes like ‘eden’ or for his tightly wrapped techhouse beats, surprises us, adeptly flirting with dub techno in his awesome reworking of sls’ ‘four to the floor’. this is a very heavy minimal track, reminiscent more than anything else, of ‘deep-down-into-dub’ artists like quantec or marco furstenberg. the deeper of the four versions of ‘four to the floor’ as released on ground factory. it retains the musical atmosphere of the original material while turning it into one of those intense and evocative slow heavy techno moments, with a relaxed mood and a subtle progression.

newcomer und stars begenen sich auf augenhöhe und präsentieren die elektronische musikvielfalt in allen facetten. das ist ruhr in love – ‘der bolzplatz der elektronischen musik’.

auch 2012 geben sich die künstler von ostfunk records berlin die ehre und gestalten einen eignen floor. mit von der partie ist u. a. thomas lizzara, der schon im letzten jahr auf allen großen festivals der nation von sich reden machte und ende märz zudem sein erstes artist album releast.

weiterer stargast bei dem spektakel im olgapark oberhausen ist dr. motte – der vater der loveparade berlin. als headliner auf dem floor von lärmkind / ultra violet / plattendeep rec. wird der meister der verzwirbelten beats die plattenteller drehen.
